Can you begin by sharing your work experiences with us?
I started my career with Accenture, then called Andersen Consulting, I am an Accenture “lifer” having spent 25 years working across the globe (USA, UK, Brasil, S. Korea, China & Thailand) designing, building & deploying IT systems for large enterprises as well as leading & building Accenture’s SAP & Technology practices.
My IT career development was completely bottom-up from programming, database management, business analysis, quality assurance, project & program management to, ultimately, practice management. Serving as CEO of IT One (Accenture’s joint venture w/ SCG) brought me to Thailand, which has become my adopted home.
How did you start to work at Criterion?
I had become good friends with the original founder of Criterion, James Vessey, and had invested in the company. Upon early retirement from Accenture (2014), I was participating in a Criterion Board meeting and noticed that there was virtually no IT or Digital practice area. The Board convinced me to take on this challenge and by year’s end, the IT & Digital practice was the largest practice area in Criterion.
What makes you stay with Criterion Asia for almost 8 years?
Criterion Asia is highly differentiated from the typical recruitment agencies in Thailand. Our consultants have a deeper understanding of the industries & functions they serve which enables stronger connections with clients & candidates alike, as well as more effective talent matching. We are proud of how we do business & have a great corporate culture. I really enjoy being part of the dynamic & exciting IT & Digital space and building the next generation of technologists & leaders – both for our clients and for Criterion Asia Recruitment.
