Many countries are now more open to gender diversity. But there are still some people who do not feel free to express their true self. And that is why there is the Pride Festival for LGBTQ to come out and show the equality in society. In June of every year, there will be fun celebrations and parades with colorful costumes and waving of rainbow flags to represent the symbolic to drive the equality of LGBTQ people around the world.
LGBTQ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (or sometimes questioning)
L = Lesbian refers a woman/woman-aligned person who is attracted to only people of the same/similar gender
G = Gay refers to men/men-aligned individuals who are only attracted to people of the same/similar gender
B = Bisexual indicates an attraction to all genders.
T = Transgender indicates that a person’s gender identity is different from the gender associated with the sex they were assigned at birth
Q = Queer refers to people who may be undefine of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
